Fragrance Analyst (Saudization)

We are seeking an experienced Fragrance Analyst to support competitive product analysis and fragrance development activities. As part of our commitment to Saudization, we are seeking qualified Saudi professionals to join our team based in Riyadh.The role combines hands-on GC/MS analysis, fragrance reconstruction, olfactive evaluation, and close collaboration with perfumers and evaluators. The successful candidate will also contribute to analytical method and capability development across different locations. Where You Will Make a Difference Market Product Analysis Act as a key analytical partner for perfumers and evaluators. Work with requestors and relevant stakeholders to establish project scope and priorities. Determine qualitative and quantitative fragrance compositions through interpretation of chromatographic and mass-spectral data. Reconstruct fragrances by developing formulas based on analytical interpretation and olfactive evaluation, using natural essential oils, synthetic ingredients and specialty bases. Translate analytical and olfactive findings into relevant competitive insights and practical recommendations. Analytical Method and Capability Development Collaborate with analytical colleagues across different locations to improve analytical techniques, tools and methods. Support the development and validation of sample-preparation and instrumental-analysis approaches. Present analytical results, interpretations, conclusions and recommended next steps. Laboratory Excellence Prepare clear analysis documentation and maintain accurate records in the appropriate databases. Organize laboratory supplies and instruments, including calibration, preventive maintenance and maintenance records. Follow laboratory safety, quality, documentation and data-integrity requirements. What Makes You the Right Fit Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or a related scientific discipline. Minimum 2 years of experience in analytical chemistry applied to fragrance analysis using GC/MS. Strong ability to interpret chromatograms and mass spectra. Olfactive and analytical knowledge of natural essential oils, synthetic fragrance materials, specialty bases and their main components. Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and sample-preparation techniques. Hands-on ability to operate, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot GC/MS instruments. Experience consolidating analytical data and translating results into actionable insights. Good knowledge of Headspace, SPME, SBSE and GC-O techniques. Knowledge of product formulation and organic chemistry. High level of familiarity with current computing, analytical software and information-technology tools. Fluent professional English.
