Franchise Accountant - General Ledger & Reconciliations

Role Objective:This role will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of the monthly financial reports for a portfolio of 48-55 franchised stores in Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities

KEY RESULT AREAS Complete bank reconciliations for all assigned stores within the agreed reporting deadlines. Take ownership of the full general ledger and balance sheet reconciliation process. Review and analyze profit and loss statements for each store, identifying key variances and trends. Prepare clear, insightful profit and loss commentary for each store, highlighting significant movements and providing explanations for variances. Assist with ad-hoc tasks as directed by the ANZ Franchise Accounting team. Personal & Business Development: Demonstrate maturity and ability to work effectively whilst maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Develop technical and personal skills by contributing to and attending internal and external training programs. Demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to the DBS brand, promoting our positive attributes within the staff base as well as to existing and prospective clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in AccountingProfessional qualification preferred but not necessary3+ years in a financial role including a strong exposure and knowledge of general ledger accounting. Experience with Australian or New Zealand Payroll, Financial Reporting and/or GST would be preferred but not necessary. Intermediate Excel Skills. Desire to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment with strong organizational/time management skills. Very strong attention to detail. Ability and willingness to project understanding, confidence and professionalism when liaising with senior stakeholders. Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written)
