Its infrastructure and global operations are designed to ensure efficiency, data security, and consistent service for clients across industries.Role Description Freelance Interpreters in Michigan (MI) will provide on-site interpretation services for clients across healthcare, legal, social services, and corporate settings in Michigan, United States. This is a full-time, on-site role that involves accurately conveying spoken information between English and one or more target languages while maintaining confidentiality and cultural sensitivity. Day-to-day tasks include attending scheduled appointments, meetings, or sessions; interpreting in real time; preparing by reviewing any available materials or terminology; and documenting basic session details as required. Interpreters will collaborate with LanguagePath Solutions’ coordination and vendor management teams, follow client and company protocols, and adhere to HIPAA and other relevant privacy standards. The role may also involve occasional remote sessions via OPI or VRI, depending on client needs.QualificationsStrong language proficiency in English and at least one additional language, with clear spoken communication and excellent listening skills.Demonstrated interpreting skills in consecutive and/or simultaneous modes, with the ability to maintain accuracy, neutrality, and cultural appropriateness.Ability to manage time effectively, handle scheduled and urgent assignments, and work independently in diverse on-site environments.Knowledge of cultural norms and sensitivities related to the languages served, supporting respectful and accurate communication.
