Team members are encouraged to contribute to continuous improvement in both patient experience and operational processes.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time Front Desk Coordinator role supporting our Brooklyn and Staten Island offices. The position requires an experienced medical front desk professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal training. The Front Desk Staff is responsible for greeting and checking in/out patients, answering phones, scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying patient demographics and insurance information, and maintaining accurate patient records.Daily responsibilities include coordinating patient appointments, following up on authorizations and referrals, collecting copays and patient balances, uploading and organizing medical documentation, responding to patient inquiries, and communicating with medical and administrative teams. The role may also involve assisting with Workers' Compensation and No-Fault/PIP-related administrative tasks, monitoring schedules for cancellations and no-shows, and completing daily administrative and reporting requirements.The position requires the ability to commute between our Brooklyn and Staten Island offices, so a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. The ideal candidate should be organized, dependable, proactive, able to multitask under pressure, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. The position is available for immediate start.QualificationsPrevious experience working as a medical front desk receptionist or medical office staff is required.Experience in a fast-paced medical or healthcare environment is strongly preferred.Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, providers, and colleagues.Experience with medical scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and appointment coordination.Professional phone etiquette and experience handling multiple calls and patient inquiries.Familiarity with electronic medical records, scheduling systems, insurance portals, and other healthcare administrative platforms.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when handling patient information, appointments, insurance, and documentation.Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain accurate in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal training and supervision.Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive medical information appropriately.Reliable, punctual, professional, and comfortable taking responsibility for assigned tasks.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required due to travel between Brooklyn and Staten Island offices.Ability to start immediately.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare administration or medical office training is a plus.(Pay is to be discussed privately)
