Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Front Desk Receptionist and PA Specialist role based in Glendale, and Monterey Park CA, requiring fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English.Greet patients and visitors and provide a welcoming, professional experience.Manage patient check-in and check-out processes and verify insurance information.Answer and route incoming phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries.Coordinate appointment scheduling and assist with patient requests.Maintain an organized and efficient front desk and reception area.Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, scanning, and processing patient forms.Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient front desk operations and a positive patient experience.Perform daily and monthly insurance eligibility and benefits verification, reviewing coverage, authorization requirements, and patient responsibilities.Research and document payer information, including eligibility, benefits, payer IDs, and authorization requirements.Initiate and manage prior authorizations (PAs) for medical services and specialty medications, gathering and submitting required patient, insurance, prescription, and clinical documentation.Monitor pending PAs, follow up with insurance companies, and resolve requests for additional information or documentation.Review denials and manage appeals, gathering supporting records, submitting reconsiderations, and tracking cases through final determination.Coordinate with physicians, patients, insurance companies, pharmacies, and specialty pharmacies to resolve coverage and authorization issues and prevent delays in treatment or medication fulfillment.Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of insurance verifications, authorizations, approvals, denials, and appeals.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Receptionist Duties and Clerical Skills, including managing check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and basic administrative tasks.Candidates should possess excellent Phone Etiquette and Communication skills for handling calls, messages, and patient interactions in a professional manner.Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to remain calm, courteous, and helpful in a fast-paced clinical environment.Candidates should be fluent in Chinese/Cantonese and English, with the ability to communicate clearly with a diverse patient population.Prior experience in a medical or clinic front desk setting is preferred; familiarity with electronic health records and scheduling systems is a plus.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in healthcare administration or related fields is beneficial.Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff.Please send resumes to this email: vinh.tranmd@rcofla.com
