Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrivalCheck patients in and out efficiently and accuratelyAnswer and route incoming phone callsSchedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointmentsVerify patient demographics, insurance information, and eligibilityCollect copays, deductibles, and other patient balancesObtain necessary referrals, authorizations, and medical recordsMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient informationCommunicate with physicians, medical assistants, and other staff regarding patient needsHandle incoming and outgoing correspondenceAssist with medical records and scanning documents into the electronic medical recordMaintain a clean, organized, and professional reception areaProtect patient privacy and follow all HIPAA requirementsProvide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism with patients, families, and staffPerform other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years' medical office or healthcare front-desk experience, preferredExcellent customer service and communication skillsProfessional, friendly, and compassionate demeanorStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentComfortable answering multiple phone lines and assisting patients in personBasic computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical record systemsKnowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations is a plusAbility to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulationsReliable attendance and a strong work ethicMust have ethical work experienceWhy Join USOur practice is committed to improving quality of life for patients through specialized care.
