Referment is working with a London-based technology company that builds data transparency and accountability tools for the investment management industry. Its platform aggregates and validates cost and holdings data from across the investment supply chain, letting pension funds, asset managers and other service providers share and interrogate validated information about their investment activities. The front end team owns the product's user experience and the API layer that connects it to the microservice backend.The RoleYou'll join a small UI team building new features for a React product, maintaining existing functionality and occasionally porting features across from a legacy Angular codebase. You'll also share responsibility for the team's GraphQL API, built in Node.js with Apollo, which talks to the microservice backend. The team's mandate is to rework the user experience end to end using current front end technology, and you'll have direct influence over the product and technical decisions.What We're Looking ForDeep knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML and CSSExperience with backend systems such as Node.js, GraphQL and RESTUse of modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux, Styled Components and Apollo GraphQLUX and visual design skills are a plus.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with the product team to prototype and deliver UI featuresCollaborate with server-side developers to add new featuresTake responsibility for the visual consistency of the UIDevelopment StackTypeScript / React / Redux / Styled Components / Apollo GraphQL / Webpack / Jest / Cypress / PrettierWorking EnvironmentAgile development with bi-weekly sprints, exposure to current front end technology, and a small team with real influence over the end product.This could suit a front end engineer comfortable working across the stack, or a React specialist ready to take more ownership of product direction and API design.#Referment
