ABOUT THE ROLEWe’re looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused person to join the team at our Eat Sleep Cycle Hub in Málaga.Our Hub brings together cycling, bike hire, retail and specialty coffee. As a Front of House team member, you’ll be one of the first people our customers meet and will play an important role in creating a welcoming, professional and memorable Eat Sleep Cycle experience.Previous barista experience, ideally within specialty coffee, is essential for this role. You should be confident preparing consistently high-quality espresso-based drinks and understand the standards and attention to detail expected in a specialty coffee environment.You will also take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the café area, including monitoring stock, placing orders for coffee, milk, drinks and other café supplies, and coordinating with our café suppliers to make sure the bar is always properly stocked and ready for service.You don’t need to be a cycling expert from day one, but an interest in cycling and a willingness to learn about our bikes, products and local riding is important.RESPONSIBILITIESDeliver exceptional customer service to everyone visiting the Málaga Hub.Prepare consistently excellent specialty coffee and maintain high standards of presentation and service.Take ownership of the day-to-day operation and organisation of the café/bar area.Monitor café inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels.Place orders for coffee, milk, drinks, food and other café supplies.Manage day-to-day relationships with suppliers connected to the café operation.Minimise waste and ensure café products are stored and rotated correctly.Clean and maintain the coffee machine, equipment, bar and café area.Help customers with bike hire collections and returns.Help customers choose cycling products, apparel, accessories and bikes.Contribute towards the Hub's monthly sales targets.Recommend local cycling routes and help visiting cyclists get the most from their time in Málaga.Receive products and merchandise.Help maintain accurate retail and rental stock and carry out stock counts.Keep the retail, rental and café areas clean, organised and well presented.Support Eat Sleep Cycle events and community activities.ABOUT YOUWe’re looking for someone who: Has previous professional barista experience, ideally in specialty coffee.Understands espresso preparation, grinder adjustment, milk steaming and the importance of consistency in coffee preparation.Is comfortable taking responsibility for café stock, ordering and supplier coordination.Has excellent customer-service skills and enjoys working with people.Is friendly, positive and comfortable speaking with customers from around the world.Has an interest in cycling and is keen to develop their cycling knowledge.Is commercially minded and comfortable selling and recommending products.Is organised and happy working across café, retail and bike-hire activities.Is comfortable working in a busy environment and taking initiative.Is available to work weekends and public holidays when required.Speaks English and Spanish.
