Location: Sweet Maple – Santa Monica, CAEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition SummarySweet Maple is seeking an experienced, energetic, and guest-focused Front of House (FOH) Manager to lead our front-of-house operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.The FOH Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding guest experiences, maintaining operational excellence, managing daily restaurant operations, and fostering a positive, professional work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementLead, supervise, and support all FOH team members, including Hosts, Servers, Runners, Bussers, Baristas, Bartenders, and Shift Leaders.Hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop employees.Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate daily goals and expectations.Schedule staff according to business needs while managing labor costs.Monitor employee performance and provide regular coaching and feedback.Enforce company policies, procedures, and service standards fairly and consistently.Promote teamwork, accountability, and professionalism. Guest ExperienceDeliver exceptional hospitality and ensure every guest receives outstanding service.Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.Monitor dining room operations to ensure efficient seating, service flow, and guest satisfaction.Build positive relationships with guests and encourage repeat business.OperationsOversee all daily FOH operations, including opening, shift transitions, and closing procedures.Ensure compliance with company standards, health regulations, and food safety requirements.Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment.Coordinate effectively with the BOH team to ensure smooth service.Monitor reservations, waitlists, and table turnover to maximize efficiency.Financial & Administrative ResponsibilitiesMonitor daily sales, labor costs, and operational expenses.Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, and POS procedures.Review voids, discounts, and guest recovery transactions.Assist with inventory management and ordering of FOH supplies.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a full-service restaurant.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.Experience with restaurant POS and reservation systems.Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification (or the ability to obtain them) preferred.Preferred QualitiesWe are looking for someone who:Leads by example.Maintains a positive and professional attitude.Takes ownership and accountability.Communicates clearly and respectfully.Performs well under pressure.Is organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.Enjoys coaching and developing others.Is committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.Performance ExpectationsSuccess in this role includes:Delivering exceptional guest satisfaction.Building and maintaining a strong FOH team.Achieving labor and operational goals.Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and service.Creating a positive workplace culture based on respect, accountability, and teamwork.Compensation & BenefitsTraining Period (First Month): $80,000 annual salary; $85,000/year thereafterPaid Vacation (after 3 months)Health Insurance (after 3 months)Employee Meals and Dining DiscountsCareer Growth and Development OpportunitiesWhy Join Sweet Maple?At Sweet Maple, we believe that great hospitality starts with great people.
