We are working with a European bank to appoint an individual within its Leveraged Finance front office team in London. This is a high-visibility role at the heart of a growing platform, offering genuine autonomy in origination and execution alongside direct exposure to private equity sponsors, corporate clients, and senior deal teams across EMEA.The successful candidate will play a central role in structuring, executing, and managing leveraged and acquisition finance transactions, while building and deepening relationships with financial sponsors and corporate borrowers.Key ResponsibilitiesLead origination and execution of leveraged finance transactions, including acquisition finance, LBOs, refinancing, and recapitalisationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with private equity sponsors and corporate clients, acting as a trusted senior point of contactStructure and negotiate financing packages, working closely with credit, legal, syndicate, and other internal stakeholdersLead and mentor junior team members, contributing to the development of analysts and associatesPrepare and present credit papers, pitch materials, and internal approvals to senior management and credit committeesMonitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments relevant to the leveraged finance landscapeSupport the wider team's strategic growth agenda, identifying new business opportunities and cross-selling potentialCandidate ProfileSignificant experience in leveraged finance, acquisition finance, or sponsor coverage within a bank, credit fund, or similar institutionProven track record of originating and executing leveraged finance transactions from term sheet through to closeStrong credit and structuring skills, with confidence navigating complex capital structuresEstablished relationships with private equity sponsors and/or corporate clientsExcellent communication and negotiation skills, with the gravitas to operate at senior levels internally and externallyA collaborative leadership style, comfortable mentoring junior colleagues and working across deal teamsRelevant degree and professional qualifications (e.g. CFA) advantageous but not essential
