Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role leads the front office team, upholds The Modernist Hotels' service standards, and acts as the central point of coordination between all hotel departments.ResponsibilitiesGuest ExperienceOversee all front desk operations to ensure a seamless arrival, stay, and departure experience for every guest. Interact with guests, obtain feedback and effectively handle guest complaints - specific customer requestsLead by example in creating a memorable experience for our guests and in building a great reputation for The Modernist HotelsCoordinate guest services to enhance the guest experience and exceed their expectationsTeam Leadership & DevelopmentRecruit, onboard, train, schedule, and supervise the Front Office TeamConduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and feedback to maintain high service standards. Identify the developmental needs of the FO Team and help them to improve their knowledge or skillsManage roster to match occupancy demands and seasonal fluctuationsFoster a positive, motivated team environment aligned with The Modernist and provide guidance and directionDaily OperationsRun day-to-day front desk operations hands-on: check-in/check-out, room allocation, cash and payment handling, accurate documentationDaily coordination of Housekeeping tasks and working closely with the F&B, Sales & Reservations teams to make sure the overall operation is running smoothly. Lead daily briefings with front office and relevant operational teamsKeep back-of-house areas organised. Monitor stock of departmental consumables and coordinate orders and inventories. Communicate with partners/suppliers to resolve daily operational issuesPrepare front office performance reports for senior management. Ensure compliance with hotel security and safety procedures, including guest identification, key control, and emergency response protocols, to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staffCandidate ProfileBachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 3-5 years of progressive front office experience in a hotel environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management roleStrong verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English, competent computer skillsDemonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
