These applications are business‑critical and used across the organisation. We are a DevOps product team consisting of:4 experienced, knowledge‑driven engineers1 product owner1 scrum masterThe team is international, based in Rotterdam (The Netherlands), and works in a hybrid setup. We collaborate closely with stakeholders from Security, Infrastructure, AWS and the business. Stakeholders actively join refinement sessions and sprint moments and visit the team weekly at the office.Currently, we are rebuilding the backend from Django / Django REST Framework / Redis to FastAPI and SQLAlchemy, running in Docker on AWS. This modernisation is expected to be finalised in summer ’26 and will enable new functional and technical features. The frontend plays a key role in effectively consuming these APIs and ensuring a consistent, secure and high‑quality user experience.Position overviewQCarbon is crucial to making Business Continuity Management a success within KPN.As a frontend developer, you contribute to a security-critical platform where correctness, consistency and maintainability are essential. You will work on complex security applications where correctness, consistency and clarity are essential.
