Reporting to the Tech Lead, you’ll turn business and product requirements into fast, polished, SEO-friendly interfaces, and play a hands-on role in shaping how our travellers discover and book experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, ship, and maintain responsive, high-performance web interfaces using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.Translate product, marketing, and business requirements into clean, reusable UI components with strong UX and accessibility.Collaborate closely with the Tech Lead, designers, and product stakeholders to scope features and align on priorities.Own the quality of your work end-to-end — from implementation and code review through to SEO, performance, and cross-browser behaviour.Contribute to a healthy, well-structured codebase using Git-based workflows and sound web-app architecture.Bring UI/UX instincts and business context to the table, proactively suggesting improvements rather than only executing tickets.Wear multiple hats in a fast-moving startup environment, adapting priorities as the product evolves.RequirementsExperienceMinimum 2 years of relevant frontend development experience.A portfolio of personal projects you can share and walk us through.Strong understanding of business logic — prior marketing, sales, or consulting experience is highly preferred.Skills & KnowledgeProficiency with TypeScript, React, Next.js, HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS.Comfortable working with Git and the command line / terminal.Strong understanding of web-app architecture.SEO awareness and an understanding of how frontend choices affect it.Strong UI/UX instincts and an eye for detail.Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design.LanguageFluent English (working language of the team).Who You AreA self-starter who takes ownership and drives things to completion.Flexible and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.Energised by a startup environment with ambiguity and rapid change.Nice to HaveExperience with TanStack Query and Redux.Automated testing experience (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows (e.g. Vercel).Comfortable working from Figma designs and handoffs.Familiarity with Node.js and npm.PHP, Laravel, and Eloquent experience.Business-level Japanese.
