Turn design into product. You will build the interfaces our AI systems live behind: pixel-accurate, fully bilingual in Arabic and English, fast enough for real-time streaming, and packaged to run in environments with no internet connection.About Xpin AIXpin AI builds sovereign AI for governments, enterprises, and institutions across the GCC. Our products are bilingual at their core, spanning Arabic, English, and regional languages, and they run across on-premise sovereign environments and cloud, chosen per client and project. That combination shapes the frontend work in ways most product teams never encounter: right-to-left is a first-class requirement rather than a translation pass, and everything you ship has to work with no CDN, no external fonts, and no runtime calls to the outside world.The roleThis role is based in our Dubai office, working on-site alongside the product design team and the engineers building the AI systems underneath. You are the person who takes a Figma file and makes it real, and who makes sure the thing that ships still looks like what was designed.Because you sit next to both design and engineering, you will have a genuine say in what gets built. Designs will come to you before they are final, and you are expected to push back when something will not hold up in Arabic, will not survive a slow connection, or will cost more in complexity than it returns in value.Success looks like a component library in code that the whole team builds from, product surfaces that hold up in both Arabic and English without special-casing, and streaming interfaces that stay smooth under real load.What you'll buildProduct interfaces from Figma to production. Take designs with real fidelity to shipped code, including the states, edge cases, empty views, and error handling that never appear in the mockup.The design system in code. Build and maintain the component library and the token pipeline that connects Figma variables to production CSS, working alongside the Product Design Lead who owns the design side. When a token changes in Figma, the codebase should pick it up without anyone retyping a hex value.AI-native interfaces. Build the real-time surfaces our AI products need: token-by-token text streaming, live voice interactions with audio visualisation, and components that respond as model output arrives rather than waiting for it to finish.The bilingual layer. Own internationalisation and RTL properly. Logical CSS properties, mirrored layouts and icons, correct Arabic typography and numerals, bidirectional text handling, and locale-aware formatting, so Arabic is a genuinely equal experience rather than a mirrored afterthought.The integration layer. Work with backend engineers to shape the APIs you consume, then build the client layer around them: caching, optimistic updates, retry and reconnection behaviour, and error states that tell the user something useful.Data-heavy surfaces. Build dashboards and analytical views that stay responsive with large datasets, using virtualisation, sensible pagination, and charts that remain readable in both languages.Performance, accessibility, and security. Keep interfaces fast under high-velocity data, meet WCAG 2.2 AA so the products can be deployed into public sector environments that require it, and apply frontend security fundamentals that hold up under client review.Offline-ready builds. Package frontends with all assets bundled, self-hosted fonts, and zero external dependencies, so they run inside air-gapped client environments.Tech stackCore: React 19, Next.js (App Router), TypeScript, semantic HTML5, modern CSS.Styling and design systems: Tailwind CSS, CSS logical properties, Radix UI or shadcn/ui primitives, Storybook.Design to code pipeline: Figma (variables and modes), Tokens Studio, Style Dictionary.State and data: Zustand or Jotai, TanStack Query, REST and GraphQL integration, async data handling, optimistic updates, and signal-based patterns for asynchronous UI lifecycles.Real-time and streaming: Server-Sent Events and WebSockets with reconnection handling, React Suspense and concurrent rendering, Web Audio API and Canvas for voice visualisation.Data-heavy UI: TanStack Table and TanStack Virtual, charting with Recharts, visx, or D3.Internationalisation: next-intl or i18next, ICU message formatting, Arabic web typography.Motion: Framer Motion, with Rive or Lottie for production motion assets.Performance: Web Workers, memoization strategies, code splitting, bundle analysis, Core Web Vitals and CLS management during dynamic content rendering.Accessibility: WCAG 2.2 AA, ARIA, keyboard navigation, screen reader testing.Security: Content Security Policy, XSS and injection prevention, secure token handling, OAuth and OIDC flows.Testing: Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, visual regression testing.Build, deploy, and workflow: Bun or Vite, Docker, Git with code review, CI/CD via GitHub Actions; Azure as the primary cloud target; offline bundling for on-premise deployment.Level and scopeMid-level, roughly three to five years building production frontends, as a guide rather than a gate. This role covers real breadth, so we are not expecting depth in all of it on day one. What we need is someone with strong React and TypeScript fundamentals and a real eye for design fidelity, who is genuinely strong in at least one of design systems, real-time interfaces, or internationalisation, and who wants to grow into the rest with support from senior engineers and the design team.Must-haveThree or more years building production React applications with TypeScript, shipped to real users.Demonstrable design fidelity: your shipped work looks like the design it came from, including spacing, type, and motion, and you can point to examples.Comfortable working from Figma as a source of truth, including variables, components, and auto layout, and confident enough to question a design that will not work in code.Solid HTML and CSS fundamentals: semantic markup, layout, responsive and adaptive behaviour, and an understanding of why logical properties exist.Practical experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs, including asynchronous data handling, caching, and error states.Component-driven mindset: you build reusable pieces with sensible APIs rather than one-off screens.Comfortable with Git-based workflows, code review, and CI/CD pipelines, and you write tested code as a matter of habit.Based in the UAE or willing to relocate to Dubai, and comfortable working on-site.Nice-to-haveRTL or bilingual product experience, particularly Arabic. Arabic language ability is a plus but not required.Design token pipelines using Tokens Studio, Style Dictionary, or similar.Streaming or real-time UI work: SSE, WebSockets, chat interfaces, or live audio visualisation.AI-powered or data-heavy applications, including virtualised tables and data visualisation at scale.Frontend performance work under high-velocity data, including Web Workers and concurrent rendering.Accessibility work against WCAG standards, or frontend security work in a regulated or reviewed environment.Design background, or the kind of frontend developer designers ask to review their files.Experience packaging applications for offline or air-gapped deployment.Mentoring or reviewing the work of less experienced engineers.How you workYou take ownership of what you ship and follow it through to production rather than handing it over at merge.You communicate clearly with designers and backend engineers, and you can explain a technical constraint to someone who is not an engineer.You give and take code review well, and you care about coding standards because you will be living in the codebase you write.You are comfortable in an agile team: sprint planning, technical design discussion, and shifting priorities in a company that is still building its foundations.Why joinYou will build the interface layer for AI products that go into real government and enterprise environments across the GCC, which means what you ship gets used rather than shelved.
