Frontend Engineer (Next.js / AI-Assisted Development)

Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are looking for a Frontend Engineer who can independently build and maintain modern web applications with a strong focus on performance, SEO, usability, and engineering quality.Our primary frontend stack is Next.js + TypeScript. You will work closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Marketing teams to turn product requirements and Figma designs into reliable, production-ready web experiences.We also actively encourage the use of AI coding tools to improve development speed. We are looking for engineers who know how to use AI effectively for prototyping, implementation, debugging, refactoring, and code review — while still taking full ownership of code quality, architecture, security, and maintainability.Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript
- Build responsive, accessible, and production-ready interfaces based on Figma designs
- Create and maintain reusable UI components using Material UI (MUI) and/or Tailwind CSS
- Design maintainable component structures, state management, and frontend architecture
- Integrate REST APIs and handle loading, error, authentication, and edge-case states
- Select appropriate Next.js rendering strategies, including SSR, SSG, and ISR
- Implement and maintain Technical SEO best practices
- Improve website performance and Core Web Vitals
- Support tracking implementation using Google Tag Manager (GTM) and GA4
- Work with Marketing and Product teams to implement event and conversion tracking
- Build and maintain consistent local development environments using Docker / Docker Compose
- Participate in code reviews and maintain engineering standards
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and Marketing stakeholders
- Use AI coding tools to accelerate development without compromising code qualityRequirements
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
- Solid experience with React and Next.js
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web development
- Experience with at least one modern UI / styling solution, such as Material UI (MUI) or Tailwind CSS
- Ability to independently translate Figma designs into production-ready UI
- Good understanding of reusable component design and maintainable frontend architecture
- Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs
- Familiarity with Git-based development workflows
- Hands-on experience with Technical SEO, including:
- Metadata and Open Graph
- Semantic HTML
- Canonical URLs
- Sitemap and robots.txt
- Structured Data / Schema Markup
- SSR / SSG considerations for SEO
- Core Web Vitals
- Basic to intermediate hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager and GA4, including events, triggers, variables, and conversion tracking
- Experience using Docker to create and maintain frontend development environments
