Location: On-SiteApplication Deadline: Oct 27, 2026SummaryThe FSQA Specialist is responsible for monitoring plant operations, maintaining food safety programs, conducting inspections and audits, investigating quality issues, and working closely with Production, Sanitation, and other cross-functional teams.Key ActivitiesMaintain and update HACCP plans, preventive controls, food safety manuals, policies, and standard operating procedures.Work with management to develop and implement the SQF program, address gaps, and prepare for certification.Coordinate CFIA inspections, audit preparation, documentation requests, and corrective actions.Verify food safety and quality practices on the production floor and review processing, sanitation, and traceability records.Coordinate sampling and laboratory testing, review results and supplier documentation, and escalate concerns.Investigate complaints and non-conformances, support product holds and recall readiness, and verify corrective actions.Train staff on food safety procedures and maintain accurate, current, audit-ready documentation.Report compliance gaps and program progress to management and recommend practical improvements.Preferred Skills Strong technical writing, recordkeeping, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently, collaborate with production staff, and follow through on assigned responsibilities.Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a growing business.Educations & ExperienceTwo to three years of food safety or quality assurance experience in food manufacturing.Relevant diploma or degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Completed HACCP training and practical knowledge of GMPs, preventive controls, and Canadian food safety requirements, including SFCR.Familiarity with SQF requirements; implementation or audit experience is an asset.Are you looking for your next opportunity?
