Our teams collaborate across Supply Chain, Operations, Warehousing, Transportation, Procurement, Technology, Finance, Commercial, and Customer Experience to ensure products are stored, processed, and delivered efficiently and reliably.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Fulfillment Strategy Manager to develop and execute strategies that improve fulfillment capacity, speed, cost efficiency, inventory flow, scalability, and customer experience.The ideal candidate will combine strategic planning, warehouse and fulfillment expertise, network optimization, financial analysis, and operational data to design scalable fulfillment models and support sustainable business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement fulfillment strategies aligned with business growth and customer-service objectives.Define short-, medium-, and long-term fulfillment network strategies.Analyze fulfillment operations and identify opportunities to improve cost, capacity, productivity, speed, and service quality.Evaluate fulfillment models including centralized, regional, distributed, micro-fulfillment, and hybrid networks.Assess optimal locations, capacities, and roles of fulfillment centers, distribution centers, hubs, and other facilities.Develop business cases for new facilities, expansions, relocations, automation, technology, and operational transformations.Analyze order volumes, product profiles, geographic demand, service requirements, and inventory characteristics to determine fulfillment requirements.Develop capacity strategies for normal operations, peak periods, promotions, seasonal demand, and new-market launches.Forecast future fulfillment capacity requirements based on demand and growth plans.Optimize inventory positioning and fulfillment-center allocation to improve service and reduce cost.Partner with Inventory Strategy, Demand Planning, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to align inventory with fulfillment requirements.Develop strategies to improve order flow from receiving through storage, picking, packing, staging, and dispatch.Analyze fulfillment cycle times and identify bottlenecks affecting customer delivery performance.Evaluate warehouse layouts, processes, labor models, technology, and automation opportunities.Develop strategies for robotics, conveyors, sortation, ASRS, goods-to-person, picking automation, and other fulfillment technologies.Partner with Technology teams to optimize WMS, OMS, ERP, WES, automation controls, and fulfillment analytics.Assess opportunities for AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, computer vision, and intelligent fulfillment planning.Analyze labor requirements, productivity, shift structures, and workforce capacity.Develop strategies to improve labor productivity while maintaining quality and safety standards.Evaluate fulfillment cost-to-serve by product, order type, customer segment, channel, and facility.Develop financial models covering operating costs, capital investment, labor, inventory, transportation, technology, and expected returns.Conduct scenario analysis for demand changes, facility constraints, labor costs, service levels, and network changes.Support omnichannel fulfillment strategies across e-commerce, retail, wholesale, and other channels.Develop strategies for same-day, next-day, scheduled, and standard fulfillment services where applicable.Coordinate fulfillment strategy with transportation and last-mile requirements.Identify opportunities to reduce order cycle time, split shipments, unnecessary handling, and fulfillment exceptions.Establish fulfillment operating standards, service levels, and strategic performance targets.Monitor fulfillment performance and identify structural causes of service failures.Analyze backlog, order aging, stock availability, picking constraints, packing capacity, and dispatch bottlenecks.Develop resilience and contingency strategies for facility outages, labor shortages, technology failures, supply disruptions, and demand spikes.Evaluate third-party fulfillment providers and outsourcing opportunities.Collaborate with Procurement on 3PL strategy, commercial models, sourcing, and supplier selection.Monitor 3PL performance, capacity, service quality, cost, and contractual compliance.Lead strategic initiatives involving Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Technology, Procurement, and Commercial teams.Develop fulfillment dashboards, analytical models, forecasts, and executive reports.Establish governance processes for fulfillment strategy, network performance, investment decisions, and improvement initiatives.Benchmark fulfillment performance against industry standards and relevant competitors.Identify opportunities to improve packaging, handling, inventory flow, and warehouse sustainability.Ensure fulfillment strategies support safety, regulatory, quality, security, and environmental requirements.Present strategic recommendations, business cases, investment proposals, and network scenarios to senior leadership.Lead continuous-improvement programs that strengthen fulfillment scalability, efficiency, resilience, and customer adoptionSustainability performanceIdeal CandidateThe successful candidate should have strong experience in fulfillment strategy, warehouse operations, supply chain, distribution, logistics, e-commerce operations, or network strategy, preferably within a large-scale or geographically distributed environment.The candidate should demonstrate:Strong understanding of fulfillment operations, warehouse processes, and distribution networks.Experience developing fulfillment or supply-chain strategies at regional or national scale.Strong knowledge of capacity planning, inventory flow, order processing, and warehouse productivity.Experience evaluating fulfillment-center locations, capacities, operating models, and network structures.Strong financial modeling and business-case development capabilities.Experience with warehouse automation and fulfillment technology is highly desirable.Familiarity with WMS, OMS, ERP, WES, TMS, or warehouse analytics platforms.Strong analytical and quantitative skills.Experience working with large operational datasets and performance dashboards.Strong understanding of cost-to-serve and fulfillment economics.Experience with peak planning, demand fluctuations, and capacity constraints.Strong knowledge of third-party logistics and fulfillment-provider management.Excellent project-management and strategic-planning capabilities.Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.Ability to translate complex operational data into clear strategic recommendations.Strong problem-solving and scenario-analysis capabilities.Commercial awareness and ability to balance customer experience, capacity, investment, and cost.Understanding of automation, digital transformation, and emerging fulfillment technologies.Strong commitment to
