Role Description The Director role at Deccan AI Experts is a full-time, on-site position based in Varanasi. The Director will oversee local operations, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality data labeling, model review, and evaluation services for global AI clients. This role includes setting strategic direction for projects, managing stakeholder relationships, and aligning the Varanasi office’s priorities with company-wide goals. Day-to-day responsibilities involve monitoring project performance, implementing process improvements, managing budgets and resources, and collaborating closely with technical and business leaders across geographies. The Director will also mentor team members, cultivate a culture of ethical AI practices, and represent Deccan AI Experts in client meetings and industry forums.QualificationsStrong leadership and people management skills, with experience guiding cross-functional teams and fostering inclusive, high-performance cultures.Expertise in operations and project management, including resource planning, process optimization, and quality assurance in a technology or AI-focused environment.Background in AI, data, or technology domains, with familiarity in areas such as data annotation, model evaluation, or AI product development.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with global clients and internal teams.Strategic thinking and business acumen, with experience in setting goals, managing budgets, and driving growth and efficiency.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.Experience working in global or distributed organizations, preferably across the US, India, and other regions.Commitment to ethical, responsible AI and to non-discriminatory, inclusive workplace practices.
