Full Stack Developer | Utrecht (Hybrid, 3 days in the office)Our client is a fast-scaling HR-tech startup in Utrecht, on a mission to change how organisations support employee growth. Since 2019, they've built a modern SaaS platform now used by hundreds of businesses, from scale-ups to established corporates, and their international team keeps expanding to match demand.What you will be doing This is a full stack role where you'll work across the entire platform, from building intuitive interfaces in React to developing scalable APIs and backend services in Node.js. You'll partner closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to turn ideas into features customers genuinely value, and there's a clear runway here toward a senior full stack/Team lead. A typical week includes- Shaping and building new features alongside product and design- Working in structured weekly sprints with your team- Writing clean, maintainable code in TypeScript, React, Node.js and MongoDB- Building and improving performant, secure REST APIs- Contributing to technical discussions and architecture decisions- Reviewing pull requests and collaborating closely to keep quality high- Improving developer workflows, CI/CD and automated testing- Owning features from idea through to deploymentWhat we're looking for- Around 3+ years of experience as a full stack developer, comfortable with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js)- A strong eye for user experience on both frontend and backend- Someone who enjoys collaborating, giving and receiving feedback, and learning alongside a team- Proactive and solution-oriented, always looking for ways to improve- Ambitious about growing toward a lead developer role over time- Curious, eager to learn, and genuinely interested in building a product that helps people grow at work- Must already live in the Netherlands and be able to work from the Utrecht office at least 3 days/weekWhat's offered - EUR 4,000-5,500 gross per month (full-time, based on experience), with room to grow- A defined growth path- 10% pension contribution via a pension provider, half paid by the employer- MacBook and full equipment setup- 25 days holiday annually (full-time basis)- Commuting costs covered under the mobility plan- EUR 1,000 per year for personal development- Hybrid model: 3 days in-office, flexible for the rest- International, ambitious team (7+ nationalities) with daily catered lunches and monthly team activities
