Location: Navi Mumbai / MumbaiWork Mode: On-siteAbout the RoleWe are looking for a strong Full Stack Developer with a Frontend / Product Engineering focus to join our product engineering team.The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with React.js and TypeScript, along with good working knowledge of Node.js, REST APIs and PostgreSQL.The role involves building modern, scalable and maintainable web applications with a strong focus on usability, performance, reusable components, data-driven interfaces and seamless integration with backend services.The developer will work across different products, modules and technology initiatives based on business requirements.

Strong frontend engineering fundamentals and the ability to understand business requirements are more important than experience in any particular domain.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop modern, responsive and maintainable web applications using React.js and TypeScript.Design and implement reusable frontend components, layouts and application patterns.Build complex, data-driven interfaces for business applications and enterprise software.Integrate React applications with REST APIs and backend services.Work closely with backend developers to define clean and efficient API contracts.Implement application state management and data-flow patterns appropriate for the application.Build dynamic forms with robust validation, error handling and user feedback.Develop reusable solutions for tables, filters, search, pagination, sorting and large datasets.Build intuitive interfaces for different types of users, including business users and administrators.Implement authentication-aware and authorization-aware user interfaces.Handle loading states, empty states, error states and edge cases consistently.Optimize frontend performance for data-intensive applications.Ensure responsive behaviour across supported screen sizes and devices.Develop accessible and consistent user interfaces following established design patterns.Participate in frontend architecture and technical design discussions.Collaborate with product, UX, backend and architecture teams to convert requirements into practical solutions.Write clean, reusable, maintainable and testable TypeScript/React code.Participate in code reviews and contribute to frontend engineering standards.Debug and resolve frontend, API integration and production issues.Take ownership of features from requirement → design → development → testing → deployment → production support.Must-Have SkillsStrong hands-on experience with React.jsStrong experience with TypeScriptStrong understanding of JavaScript fundamentalsGood knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3Strong experience with REST API integrationUnderstanding of frontend architecture and component designExperience with state managementExperience with form handling and validationUnderstanding of authentication and authorizationGood understanding of Node.jsGood understanding of PostgreSQLGitStrong debugging and problem-solving skillsAbility to understand and work with an existing codebaseAbility to work independently and take ownership of featuresGood to HaveMaterial UI, Ant Design or similar UI frameworksExperience building data-intensive or enterprise web applicationsSearch and filtering UI experienceAdvanced table/grid componentsExperience with complex forms and dynamic UIAWSDockerAccessibility / WCAG awarenessAutomated frontend testingJest / React Testing Library or similarFrontend performance optimizationResponsive web application developmentReal-time application experienceState management libraries such as Redux, Zustand or similarExperience with design systems and reusable UI librariesSaaS application developmentWorkflow or business-process application experienceCandidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who:Thinks beyond simply creating screens.Understands frontend architecture, component design, data flow and API integration.Can convert business requirements into clean, intuitive and maintainable user experiences.Pays attention to usability, consistency and edge cases.Understands that good frontend engineering includes performance, validation, security-aware UI and error handling.Can work independently and take ownership of complete features.Is comfortable working in a product/startup environment where requirements may evolve.Can communicate effectively with backend developers, product teams, UX designers and architects.Can understand an existing application and improve it without unnecessarily rewriting everything.Writes reusable and maintainable code rather than quick, one-off implementations.Is willing to learn new technologies and business domains.Has a strong problem-solving mindset.EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.ImportantThis is a product engineering role focused on frontend and full-stack development, not simply a UI implementation role.We are looking for a developer with strong fundamentals in React, TypeScript, frontend architecture, API integration, application state, usability, performance and software engineering practices.The engineer may work across multiple products, modules, integrations and technology initiatives based on business and product requirements.We value engineering fundamentals, ownership, problem-solving ability, code quality and willingness to learn more than experience in any particular business domain.Send your updated resume to hr@athenaglobalsystems.com
