Major room for advancement!Role OverviewOur client is hiring a mid-level Software Engineer to contribute across our front-end and back-end engineering, with some production support and eventually some DevOps responsibilities. Their platform is built on a microservices architecture spanning three external-facing portals and one internal administrative portal sharing a common back-end.You will implement features, work on new development, build and maintain services, and support production reliability, working alongside our Senior Software Engineer and offshore development team. This role is primarily software engineering, with meaningful exposure to infrastructure, deployment, and operational support.ResponsibilitiesSoftware EngineeringBuild and maintain front-end features using React, following the established design system and component libraryDevelop and maintain Node.js microservices supporting front-end and platform functionalityContribute to API design and service-to-service integration across the microservices architectureWrite clean, testable, well-documented code and participate actively in code reviewsCollaborate with the Senior Software Engineer and offshore development team on feature delivery and technical designSQLRequired Qualifications3–7 years of professional software engineering experienceStrong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScriptSolid Node.js back-end development experience, including working within a microservices architectureKnowledge of AWS services and cloud deployment practicesRest API's & SQLAbility to read, write, and debug code across the stackUnderstand data normalization rules and how to apply themComfort working independently during US business hours with an offshore team in a different timezoneActive use of AI coding tools in daily development workflowAI-Native DevelopmentUse AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, or equivalent) as a core part of daily development workflow.
