Our work targets SDG 6 — clean water and sanitation — and it is deployed in the field rather than sitting in a pilot deck.The roleMost full-stack roles stop at the API. This one starts at the sensor.A reading that begins as a value on a Modbus register has to travel through MQTT, land in TimescaleDB, and surface as something a municipal engineer can act on at six in the morning. We are looking for one engineer who understands and owns that entire path, rather than a single layer of it.You will work across embedded telemetry, Python services and the Frappe application layer, alongside our hardware team. When a device in the field goes quiet, you are one of the people who can tell whether the cause is firmware, network, or application — and fix it.Responsibilities•    Build and maintain device-to-cloud telemetry pipelines using Modbus RTU/TCP, MQTT over EMQX, and LoRaWAN via ChirpStack•    Develop FastAPI microservices for data ingestion, rule evaluation and derived metrics•    Build Frappe Framework applications — DocTypes, hooks, workflows and whitelisted API methods•    Develop React, TypeScript and Vite interfaces running against live Frappe backends•    Design and optimise time-series schemas in TimescaleDB for scale and query performance•    Debug field issues spanning firmware, network and application layers•    Work with the hardware team on device interfaces, commissioning and field validationRequired qualifications•    Approximately 4 years of professional software development experience, some of it touching real hardware•    Strong Python, with FastAPI running in production environments•    Genuine Frappe or ERPNext depth — DocTypes, server scripts, hooks and the bench workflow•    Working knowledge of MQTT and at least one industrial protocol, Modbus preferred•    SQL and relational data modelling; PostgreSQL experience•    JavaScript and TypeScript with a modern front-end framework, React preferred•    Comfortable with a serial cable, a multimeter and a component datasheet•    Willing to travel to deployment sites within Karnataka, and occasionally beyondPreferred qualifications•    Embedded firmware experience on ESP32, STM32 or equivalent•    LoRaWAN network server administration•    TimescaleDB or another time-series database at production scale•    OPC-UA, BACnet or SCADA integration•    Linux system administration and Docker•    Exposure to water, energy or industrial automation domainsWhat we offer•    Ownership across the full stack rather than a narrow slice of it•    Field-deployed products with real users, not proofs of concept•    Industry standard salary and ESOP for deserving candidates
