Navys is focused on real legal workflows, not generic AI tools or documentsummarisation, and is designed to support production grade, enterprise use cases.Navys is building core infrastructure for how funds legal work is done, with a strongemphasis on execution, clarity and real world impact.Role SummaryNavys is seeking an ambitious Full Stack Engineer to join the team on a full time basis.This is a hands on engineering role focused on building and shipping core platformfunctionality across the full stack.You will play a foundational role in building core platform components, scalinginfrastructure, and collaborating closely with engineering, product and legal teams tobring a category defining product to life.This is not a narrow or isolated engineering role. It requires ownership, comfort withambiguity, and the ability to take responsibility for features from early design throughto production.ResponsibilitiesProduct Delivery and ExecutionDesign, build and ship full stack features from backend services and APIs inPython through to modern, performant user interfaces in TypeScript using ReactTranslate complex legal and operational requirements into clear, intuitiveproduct functionalityTake ownership of features from concept through to production releasePlatform and InfrastructureDevelop and maintain cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on AzureEnsure the full stack from database to frontend is secure, maintainable andscalableContribute to the reliability and performance of the platform as usage growsEngineering Contribution and CollaborationInfluence technical architecture decisions and help define engineering bestpractices as the team growsWork closely with the Head of Engineering and Product to align technicalexecution with product prioritiesCollaborate effectively across engineering, product and legal domain expertsCandidate ProfileEssential RequirementsFluent in Python and strong in TypeScript, with both used in production systemsSolid experience building scalable APIs and backend servicesExperience building modern single page applicationsFamiliarity with at least one major frontend framework, with React preferred andVue acceptableDeep understanding of at least one major cloud platform, with Azure preferredand AWS acceptableKnowledge of relational databases and data modellingStrong problem solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesComfortable operating in a fast paced, early stage start up environmentDesirable RequirementsExperience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform or BicepFamiliarity with Azure services including Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Key Vaultand Blob StorageExposure to AI or LLM based tooling such as Claude, OpenAI, Azure AI orLangChainExperience in legal tech, fintech or another highly regulated domainWhat Navys OffersCompetitive salary plus meaningful equity at an early stageA foundational engineering role with real ownership and impactDirect influence on how the platform is built and scaledOpportunity to take on increasing responsibility as the engineering team growsEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
