The engineer will convert designs into a modern, responsive, SEO-friendly website using React/Next.js on the frontend, while independently designing and building the RESTful/GraphQL APIs, database architecture, authentication, and integrations that support it — ensuring high performance, security, and an exceptional user experience end-to-end.This role starts with the corporate website build (Marketing team), but is intended to grow into our core product engineering team. Once the website is live and stable, the engineer will transition into building and scaling features on our core product — working directly with Product, Engineering, and Design to ship customer-facing functionality. We're looking for someone who thinks beyond "getting the page built" and cares about clean architecture, scalability, and long-term maintainability, since this codebase and skillset will carry directly into product work.Key ResponsibilitiesFrontend DevelopmentBuild responsive, pixel-perfect web pages and landing pages from Figma designs using React.js/Next.js and Tailwind CSS.Develop reusable, scalable UI components and design systems.Implement SEO-friendly frontend architecture (SSR/SSG, semantic HTML, metadata optimization, structured data).Optimize Core Web Vitals, page load speed, and Lighthouse scores.Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and accessibility (WCAG).Build high-conversion landing pages, forms, CTAs, animations, and campaign-specific pages for marketing initiatives.Develop a responsive 14-page corporate website from approved Figma designs, converting them into pixel-perfect, production-ready webpages.Implement responsive layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.Backend DevelopmentDesign, build, and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using Node.js to support the frontend, forms, and marketing integrations.Architect and manage databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL) — schema design, query writing, indexing, and optimization for performance and data integrity.Apply object-oriented programming (OOP) principles to write clean, modular, and maintainable backend code.Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control (JWT/OAuth) for any protected routes, admin areas, or forms.Build and maintain server-side logic for lead capture, form submissions, CMS content delivery, and third-party API integrations (CRM, analytics, payment gateways if applicable).Handle API security, input validation, rate limiting, and data protection best practices.Own deployment, environment configuration, and basic DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines) in coordination with the Technology team.Monitor and troubleshoot backend performance issues, database bottlenecks, and API reliability.Design systems and code with an eye toward reusability and scalability, since architecture decisions made now will carry into core product features later.Website OptimizationOptimize website performance and page loading speed across frontend and backend.Follow SEO-friendly coding practices.Ensure cross-browser compatibility.Implement accessibility best practices.Marketing IntegrationsIntegrate HubSpot forms and lead capture functionality, including backend handling of form submissions.Implement Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and other marketing tracking scripts.Connect website forms with the designated CRM or marketing platform via API integrations.Product Collaboration (Growth Path)Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to understand the broader product roadmap ahead of transitioning into feature work.Bring a product mindset to the website build — thinking about user experience, data structure, and scalability in a way that transfers directly to core product engineering.Be open to ramping up on the product codebase, domain (healthcare/care management), and existing architecture in preparation for the next phase of the role.CollaborationWork closely with the Marketing team to implement website requirements and design updates.Coordinate with the Technology team to follow coding standards, GitHub workflows, deployment processes, and security requirements.Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies across both frontend
