The consultancy focuses on building new digital products that perform effectively from day one and on optimizing existing experiences for long-term growth.The RoleThis is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to build a real product end-to-end, not just their slice of it. You'll work directly with our founder, our backend developer & designer, taking primary ownership of the React Native mobile app while also being comfortable in our backend (Firebase/Supabase, Firestore/PostgreSQL, Cloud Functions) when the work calls for it.We're not looking for the most years of experience - we're looking for range, speed, and genuine technical judgment. If you're the kind of engineer who uses AI tools daily to move faster and think bigger, not slower and smaller, this role is built for you.This is a 3-month fixed-term contract to launch, with strong potential to extend or convert to an ongoing role if it's a great fit.What You'll DoBuild our mobile app in React Native from Figma designs and Linear tickets - screens, navigation, state management, the worksOwn core marketplace features: personalised home feed, listing/selling flow, a reverse-marketplace "wish list" feature, search (Algolia), messaging, push notificationsMove into the backend as needed: Cloud Functions, data models, API endpoints, and payment integrationHandle app store release: build pipelines, provisioning, submission to Apple App Store and Google PlayUse AI coding tools (we're big on Claude Code) as a daily part of your workflow to move faster without cutting cornersCommunicate proactively - flag blockers, ambiguities, and trade-offs fast rather than guessing silentlyWhat We're Looking ForStrong hands-on experience across React Native and backend development (Node.js, Firebase/Supabase or similar) — doesn't need to be decades, needs to be real and shippedAt least one app or product you've built and shipped, ideally end-to-endDaily, fluent use of AI coding tools as part of how you actually build software — this isn't optional for us, it's core to how we workSharp technical judgment: you know when to move fast and when to slow down and get it rightComfortable owning ambiguous problems independently, but communicates clearly and doesn't go quiet when stuckStrong written and spoken English for daily async collaborationSome availability overlapping UAE business hours (GMT+4)Genuinely excited by startup pace — things will change, specs will evolve, and you'll need to roll with itBonus points for:Experience with marketplace, resale, or e-commerce platformsExperience integrating payment providers (Checkout.com, Stripe, or similar)A portfolio or GitHub that shows real range across the stackDetailsType: Full-time, 3-month fixed-term contract, remote/offshoreCompensation: Competitive, benchmarked to offshore market rates for the role — open to discussing structure (monthly + milestone-based)Start: ImmediateReports to: FounderIf you're the engineer who ships fast, thinks in systems, and treats AI tools as a superpower rather than a shortcut - we want to hear from you.
