Full Stack Engineer

Job Title: Full Stack DeveloperLocation: Dubai, UAEROLE SUMMARY:We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to build and maintain modern, responsive web applications and the Node.js services that power them. You will work across the stack — from React components built to our design system through to APIs, business logic and data access — as part of an Agile delivery team. You will collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, UX designers and QA to turn requirements into well-tested, secure and performant features. Experience in trading, capital markets or fintech is a strong advantage.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Front End Development* Develop responsive, accessible and performant user interfaces using ReactJS and TypeScript, applying modern patterns (functional components, hooks, context, and statemanagement such as Redux Toolkit, Zustand or React Query).* Translate UX designs from Figma into pixel-accurate, reusable components that comply with the organisation's design system, component library, theming and accessibility guidelines.* Support bilingual interfaces including right-to-left (RTL) layouts, localisation, and locale-aware number, date and currency formatting.* Optimise front-end performance — bundle size, code splitting, lazy loading, rendering efficiency and Core Web Vitals.* Build interfaces that handle real-time data updates via WebSockets or server-sent events without degrading responsiveness.Back End Development* Design, build and maintain Node.js services and APIs using frameworks such as Express, NestJS or Fastify.* Design and document RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs with sound contracts, versioning, error handling, pagination and validation.* Integrate with internal and third-party systems, message queues and streaming data sources.* Model, query and optimise relational and NoSQL data stores; write efficient queries, indexes and migrations.* Implement authentication and authorisation, input validation, and secure coding practices aligned to the OWASP Top 10.Quality, Delivery & Collaboration• Write and maintain unit, integration and end-to-end tests (for example Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright or Cypress) and keep the build green.• Participate actively in code reviews — both giving and receiving — and uphold agreed coding standards and Git workflow.• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerised builds, environment configuration and deployment automation.• Work with product owners and business analysts to clarify requirements, refine user stories and define acceptance criteria.• Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives.• Provide production support: monitor, triage, debug and resolve defects and incidents, including root-cause analysis.• Produce clear technical documentation for the solutions you build.• Use AI-assisted development tooling responsibly and effectively to accelerate delivery while retaining full accountability for merged code.REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:• Minimum 4 years of professional full stack web development experience.• Strong hands-on ReactJS experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.• Strong hands-on Node.js experience building production backend services and APIs.• Solid understanding of REST and/or GraphQL API design, integration and consumption.• Practical database experience with at least one relational database (PostgreSQL, MySQL or MS SQL Server) and familiarity with NoSQL or in-memory stores (MongoDB, Redis).• Strong HTML5, CSS3 and responsive/cross-browser development skills; experience with a component library or utility framework (Material UI, Ant Design, Tailwind CSS or similar).• Demonstrated ability to work to a design system and design guidelines, consuming Figma handoffs and applying accessibility standards (WCAG).• Experience with real-time web technologies such as WebSockets or server-sent events.• Proficiency with Git and collaborative branching workflows; experience participating in code reviews.• Automated testing experience across front end and back end.• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and at least basic containerisation (Docker).• Understanding of web application security fundamentals (OWASP Top 10, XSS, CSRF, injection, secure session and token handling).• Experience working in an Agile / Scrum delivery team.• Good written and verbal English communication skills.PREFERRED / ADVANTAGEOUS:• Arabic language proficiency (spoken and written) — preferred.• Experience in trading, brokerage, exchange, banking or fintech applications.• Domain understanding of trading concepts: market data, order entry and order management, portfolios and positions, watchlists, and settlement or post-trade views.• Experience with financial data visualisation and charting libraries (TradingView, Highcharts, D3, ECharts or similar).• Experience with Next.js or server-side rendering.• Cloud platform experience (AWS or Azure) and familiarity with Kubernetes or serverless deployment.• Experience with message brokers or streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ).• Exposure to micro-frontends or monorepo tooling (Nx, Turborepo).• Exposure to mobile development (React Native or Flutter).• Experience with observability tooling — logging, metrics, tracing and alerting.QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience.• Relevant cloud or framework certifications are advantageous.KEY COMPETENCIES:• Ownership of features from requirement through to production.• Problem-solving and structured debugging.• Attention to detail in UI fidelity, data accuracy and edge-case handling.• Collaborative working style and openness to feedback.• Willingness to learn new technologies and domains quickly.
