You'll play a key role in shaping both the product and engineering decisions, collaborating across product, engineering, and marketing to deliver a seamless user experience. This is a role for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, taking ownership, and contributing across the stack, from frontend UX to backend APIs and integrations.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain scalable web applications using Next.js (App Router) and React 18Develop end-to-end type-safe APIs using tRPC and backend services with HonoDesign and manage database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL and PrismaCollaborate directly with co-founders to define product requirements, architecture, and roadmapWork closely with the marketing team to implement SEO strategies and optimize web performanceIntegrate third-party services like Clerk (authentication) and Stripe (payments)Implement responsive and accessible UI using Tailwind CSS, Shadcn, Radix UI, and modern component patternsManage server state and data fetching using TanStack React QueryContribute to analytics, logging, and monitoring using tools like PostHog and AxiomParticipate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and performance optimizationsWork within a monorepo setup (pnpm + Turborepo) for efficient development and scalingMust-Have QualificationsProficiency in TypeScriptHands-on experience with Next.js and ReactExperience building APIs using tRPC or similar frameworksSolid understanding of backend development (Node.js-based frameworks like Hono or Express)Experience with PostgreSQL and ORMs like PrismaStrong knowledge of REST/HTTP concepts, API design, and data fetching strategiesReact Query (TanStack Query) for server state managementExperience with modern styling approaches like Tailwind CSSFamiliarity with Git and collaborative workflowsStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to take ownership of features from concept to productionNice-to-Have SkillsExperience with monorepo setups using Turborepo and pnpmFamiliarity with authentication systems like ClerkExperience with Stripe or payment integrationsExperience with AI integrations (e.g., OpenAI, Vercel AI SDK)Exposure to Docker and cloud services like AWS S3Experience working on SEO optimization and performance improvementsPrior experience working closely with founders or startup teamsWhat Success Looks LikeOwning and shipping features end-to-end with minimal hand-holdingWriting clean, scalable, and well-documented code that the team can build onProactively identifying performance bottlenecks and resolving them before they become problemsContributing meaningfully to architectural and product decisions alongside the founding teamWhat's in It for YouWork directly with the founding team, fast learning and real ownership from Day 1Shape the product and engineering culture at an early-stage, fast-growing startupWork on a modern, cutting-edge tech stack across the full product lifecycle
