Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Full-Stack Developer with hands-on experience in Python (Django) and React.js to contribute to the development of Urban Vault’s digital products. You will work across the stack—building scalable backend systems and intuitive frontend experiences—while collaborating closely with the CTO, Product, Design, and Leadership teams. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career who has strong programming fundamentals, has built web-development projects and is eager to learn and take increasing ownership. Key Responsibilities

● Develop and maintain backend features using Python, Django and Django REST Framework.● Build responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using React.js.● Create and integrate REST APIs for communication between frontend and backend systems.● Work with relational databases and contribute to designing and maintaining data models.● Develop and manage asynchronous processes using Celery and Redis.● Integrate third-party services (payments, communication tools, etc.).● Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.● Contribute to deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (AWS).● Write clean, maintainable code and participate in testing and code reviews.

Requirements

● 0–1 year of experience in full-stack development. Internships, academic projects, freelance work and substantial personal projects will also be considered.● Working knowledge of Python (Django) and Django REST Framework (DRF), demonstrated through projects, internships or professional experience.● Working knowledge of React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML and CSS.● Solid understanding of relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL).● Experience with RESTful API design and frontend-backend integration.● Familiarity with Redis, Celery, or similar background job systems.● Familiarity with Git and basic exposure to Docker and CI/CD workflows.● Strong problem-solving and debugging ability.● Ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks and gradually own features end to end.Nice-to-Have Skills:● Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and workflows, along with a basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and AI-powered integrations.● Familiarity with Web-Sockets or real-time features.● Exposure to microservices architecture.● Experience with monitoring and analytics tools.● Prior experience in start-up or product-driven environments.
