Full Stack Engineer

We offer a range of subscription products, which is used by leading venture capital firms, private equity firms, investment banks, and other financial institutions to make informed investment decisions. Venture Intelligence data is also relied upon by the regulatory agencies, the media as well as the official Indian PE-VC industry association, IVCA.The RoleWe are looking for a Full Stack Developer who works the way modern engineers do: using AI coding tools (LLMs) extensively for coding, debugging, testing and problem-solving, while taking full ownership of code quality, correctness and security.We are not looking for someone who just generates code fast. We want someone who can read, question, test and improve what the AI produces, and who can solve the problem from first principles when the AI gets it wrong.What You Will Do

• Build and improve features across our React front end and Laravel / Python back end.
• Design clean REST APIs and build fast, usable interfaces for data-heavy screens (large tables, filters, search, pagination).
• Write and optimise MySQL schemas, indexes and queries for large financial datasets.
• Build background jobs, data-processing scripts and integrations in Python.
• Use AI tools daily, and review every AI-generated change as carefully as you would a colleague's pull request.
• Write tests, take part in code reviews, and help keep the codebase secure and maintainable.Must-Have Skills
• React.js: solid command of Hooks, component design and state management; TailwindCSS or a similar CSS framework; responsive layouts.
• One strong backend: PHP (Laravel) or Python (Django / Pandas). You should be comfortable designing and consuming REST APIs.
• MySQL: schema design, indexing and query optimisation (you can explain why a query is slow and how to fix it).
• Fundamentals: HTTP, async behaviour, authentication, and common security issues (SQL injection, XSS, secrets handling).
• Working knowledge of Git and code review practices.Good to Have
• Both Laravel and Python experience (we use both).
• Redis or other caching layers.
• Deploying and running apps on Linux servers or AWS.
• Experience with data-heavy or analytics / fin-tech products.
• Chennai-based, Tamil-speaking candidates are preferred.Experience and Education
• Minimum 1 year of experience building web applications with React and Laravel or Python.
