Full Stack Engineer – Crypto / Algorithmic Trading📍 London | Hybrid💻 Full-time📈 Crypto / Digital Assets / Algorithmic Trading**We are currently only accepting applications from people currently working in either a Buy side firm, Crypto Trading firm, Asset Management (within trading) or have a record of working in the financial industry within a trading environment**We are working with a leading crypto-native algorithmic trading firm looking to hire an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join its London team.This is a frontend-leaning full stack role, where you'll build sophisticated, high-performance applications used by traders, clients and internal teams.The majority of your focus will be across React and TypeScript, building complex interfaces around real-time trading and market data. However, you'll also work across the stack and will need previous backend exposure ideally in Node.js otherwise Python and/or Go.What You'll Be Working OnYou'll help build and develop trading applications, client-facing platforms and internal tools, with the opportunity to create new products from the ground up.You'll be responsible for:Building sophisticated applications using React and TypeScriptDeveloping intuitive interfaces for traders and clientsBuilding dashboards and applications displaying real-time trading and market dataHandling asynchronous and streaming data within browser-based applicationsIntegrating with REST and WebSocket APIsDesigning reusable frontend components and scalable application architectureWorking across the backend where required using Python and/or GoContributing to backend services, APIs and data modelsImproving application performance, reliability and securityWorking closely with traders, product teams and other engineersTaking ownership of features from initial idea through to productionWhat We're Looking For5+ years' software engineering experienceStrong commercial experience with ReactExcellent JavaScript and TypeScript skillsExperience building complex, data-intensive web applicationsPrevious backend development experience with Python and/or GoExperience working with REST and WebSocket APIsExperience handling real-time or streaming dataGood understanding of relational databases and data modellingUnderstanding of frontend performance and secure application developmentExposure to cloud infrastructure, ideally AWSFamiliarity with containers, CI/CD, monitoring and loggingWe're looking for someone who is strongest on the frontend, but is comfortable moving across the stack when required. This isn't a pure frontend position — you'll need to understand and contribute to the backend systems powering the applications you build.Experience within crypto, fintech, trading or financial markets would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
