They help energy producers and consumers unlock more value from their portfolios through advanced data analytics, weather forecasting, and market intelligence. The company has grown to over 40 people, with a 12 person tech organization split across software, infrastructure, and data teams.You'll join a 4 person software team (including the lead) that owns the application layer of the company. You'll be the 5th member. It's a full stack role: you'll move between backend and frontend depending on what's needed, sometimes purely one or the other, sometimes both. Work ranges from small improvements to new features.The team is starting on a new internal trading platform that brings together the company's algorithmic models, owned by the Research department, into one place for traders to interact with, visualize data, and review results. Your team owns the frontend and the APIs surrounding these models.Team4 people including the lead: 1 Senior, 1 Mid level, 1 transitioning from Junior to Mid level.Tech stackPython (no framework), TypeScript, React (Next.js a nice to have), AWS (not serverless, other cloud experience also fine), Docker, a bit of Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, GitLab CI.What we're looking for2 to 3+ years of professional software development experience.Strong Python and React skills.Interest in working across both frontend and backend.Comfort picking up trading business logic and translating it into technical solutions.Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS (or Azure), and an interest in the deployment side of things. There's a dedicated infrastructure team, but hands on familiarity is expected.Hours and hybridFull time, 40 hours per week. 3 days per week in the Amsterdam office, Monday and Friday compulsory, third day flexible.Salary & contractUp to €65,000 gross per year, all inclusive of vacation money, depending on experience. 12 month contract with intention to go permanent.PackageFully covered travel allowance (NS Traject Vrij), sports subscription (up to €200/year), Udemy account plus additional learning budget on request, monthly social activities, pension contribution.
