Full Stack Software Developer — React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Node.js — LondonA leading electronic trading firm is looking for a capable Full Stack Software Engineer — mid-level to senior — to join the team building their core trading platforms end-to-end. These are production systems used daily by front-office traders and research teams who expect their tools to be fast, reliable, and precise.This is a hands-on individual contributor role. No people management, no line reports — just quality engineering on complex, real-time problems, working across the stack alongside experienced Java and Python backend engineers and the traders your software serves directly.The firm wants someone who has built in anger in a demanding technical environment — where the users on the other side of the interface are experts with high standards and zero patience for latency or poor UX.Responsibilities for the Full Stack Software Developer:Build and maintain real-time, data-intensive UIs in React and TypeScript, consuming GraphQL APIs and handling high-frequency data streamsDesign and build Node.js services and APIs that power those interfaces, handling real-time market and research dataWork directly with front-office traders and research teams to translate complex workflows into clean, performant, end-to-end solutionsCollaborate closely with Java and Python backend engineers to align on data models and API contractsWrite well-structured, maintainable code across the stack and contribute to shared engineering standardsTake ownership of your work end to end — from scoping through to production, front end and backWhat they need from the Full Stack Software Developer:A degree in a STEM subject.At least 5 years commercial experience.Strong React and TypeScript.Solid, hands-on Node.js experienceGraphQL experienceExperience building systems where performance and data throughput genuinely matterFamiliarity with Java or Python.Core stackReact, TypeScript, GraphQL, Node.js, JavaScript (ES6+)Compensation & benefits:Salary benchmarked to financial servicesMarket-leading bonusPrivate medical insuranceLife insurancePension scheme25 days' holidayGym membership3 days' office attendance required.If you have solid hands-on experience building full stack systems in an electronic trading or similarly demanding environment, we would like to hear from you.
