We’re looking for a Full-time Aftercare Lead Teacher to bring warmth, structure, and positive vibes to our afternoon programs! In this role, you will guide classroom culture, plan engaging activities, and lead classroom routines with the dedicated support of an Aftercare Teacher Assistant.⏰ Schedule: 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Full-time, year-round position)What You’ll DoLead & Inspire: Take the lead in guiding children ages 3–6 as they grow independence, confidence, and strong social skills.Direct Afternoon Programs: Oversee constructive daily afternoon routines, transitions, snack times, arts and crafts, group games, and outdoor play.Curate the Space: Maintain a beautiful, orderly, and welcoming Montessori environment and prepare engaging learning materials.Guide & Delegate: Partner effectively with your Assistant to ensure a calm, safe, and smoothly run classroom.Connect & Collaborate: Build meaningful, positive relationships with students, staff, and families.What You BringPassion & Leadership: Experience leading preschool or ECE settings (Especially AMI Montessori training/exposure)!Warmth & Empathy: A grounding, confident presence and natural talent for managing small groups with care and enthusiasm.Solid Communication: Great interpersonal skills for guiding your Assistant and building strong rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.Active Mindset: Readiness to move, bend, stand, and actively engage indoors and outdoors.Inclusive Spirit: A strong commitment to creating an inviting, respectful space for every child.Compensation & Perks💰 Salary: $3,300 – $3,800/month (pre-tax, negotiated with Director commensurate with education, experience, and skill)🌴 Time Off: 6 weeks of paid vacation per year + paid holidays🩺 Benefits: Full medical, dental, and vision coverage available after 60 days🌟 Environment: Join a premier, AMI-accredited school community with supportive leadership and room to grow.Montessori Children's House and School is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive community.
