Job descriptionBiratnagar International College is currently inviting applications for the position of Full-Time Lecturer/Tutor to join our growing academic team. This is an on-site role based in Biratnagar, Nepal. As a Lecturer/Tutor at Biratnagar International College, you will play a key role in designing and delivering academic modules, providing high-quality teaching and academic support to students, and guiding them towards academic and professional success. The position also requires staying abreast of emerging technologies and practices to ensure course content remains current, practical, and industry relevant. Module: Introductory Programming and Problem Solving Positions Available: 1 TutorType: Full-Time Required Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency in Python programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts Understanding of Boolean logic and digital circuits Knowledge of number system conversions and their applications Understanding of Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU) implementation and CPU architecture Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line interface (CLI) Experience with scripting in both Linux and Windows environments Basic knowledge of databases and networking Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline Strong proficiency in Python programming In-depth understanding of mathematical concepts relevant to computing Excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching and mentoring students Prior teaching or academic experience is advantageous but not mandatory Module: Internet Software Architecture and Databases Positions Available: 1 Lecturer, 1 TutorType: Full-Time Required Knowledge & Skills: Strong proficiency in developing full-stack web applications Solid understanding of JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL Proficiency in HTML/CSS and responsive web design Knowledge of MVC frameworks and web server configuration is a plus Ability to design, implement, and manage relational databases Experience working with backend and frontend integration Familiarity with basic networking concepts related to web deployment Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline Strong practical knowledge of modern web development tools and techniques Experience in developing dynamic, database-driven websites and applications Excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring students Prior teaching or academic assistance experience (preferred for Lecturer/Tutor roles) Module: Fundamental of Computing Positions Available: 1 Tutors Type: Full-Time Required Knowledge & Skills: Boolean Logic (Truth Table), Logic Gates and Circuit Diagram, Number System (Binary, Hexa, Octal) Conversion and its applicationImplementation of Boolean logic in ALU (CPU)CPU ArchitectureOperating System (Linux Operating System and its command line interface)Batch file and scripting files in Linux and WindowsBasics on Database, Networking Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline Strong practical knowledge of modern web development tools and techniques Experience in developing dynamic, database-driven websites and applications Excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring students Prior teaching or academic assistance experience (preferred for Lecturer/Tutor roles) Biratnagar International College offers an engaging academic environment, opportunities for professional development, and a vibrant campus culture that encourages innovation and learning.
