Guided by the vision of being “The Institution of Excellence for Life,” MCKL aims to develop graduates who become respected role models for future generations.Role Description This full-time, on-site role as a Lecturer (Computing) at MCKL in Kuala Lumpur involves teaching undergraduate and/or pre-university computing courses, such as programming, software development, data structures, and related subjects. The lecturer will design and deliver lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions, develop and update teaching materials, and assess student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations. Responsibilities include mentoring and advising students, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their academic and personal development. The role also involves contributing to curriculum review and enhancement, participating in departmental meetings and collegial activities, and engaging in professional development to stay current with advancements in computing and pedagogy.QualificationsStrong foundation in computing disciplines such as programming, software engineering, databases, networks, or data science.Experience in designing and delivering computing courses, including lesson planning, assessment design, and use of educational technologies.Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly, support diverse learning needs, and provide effective academic guidance.Demonstrated commitment to student-centered teaching, inclusive classroom practices, and continuous improvement in pedagogy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and participate in academic committees.Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field; teaching experience in tertiary or pre-university education is an advantage.Familiarity with current industry tools, programming languages, and emerging technologies; professional certifications or industry experience are beneficial.Willingness to contribute to co-curricular activities, mentoring programs, and community engagement aligned with MCKL’s mission and values.
