The lecturer will design, deliver, and review Computing/IT modules, including preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, and conducting tutorials and labs. Responsibilities include developing assessments, grading student work, providing constructive feedback, and supporting learners’ academic progress and well-being. The role involves curriculum development, contribution to programme enhancement, and participation in academic meetings, committees, and quality assurance activities. The lecturer is also expected to engage in professional development, collaborate with colleagues on education-related projects, and support student activities such as advising, mentoring, and academic events.QualificationsStrong subject-matter expertise in Computing/IT (e.g., computer science, information technology, software development, data analytics, networking, or related areas).Proven teaching, facilitation, and classroom management skills, with the ability to use diverse pedagogical approaches and educational technologies.Competence in curriculum design, lesson planning, assessment development, and continuous improvement of teaching materials.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to mentor and support a diverse student body.Relevant academic qualifications, typically a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computing/IT or a closely related discipline; a master’s degree or higher is strongly preferred.Ability to work collaboratively within academic teams, contribute to institutional initiatives, and uphold high ethical and professional standards.Experience with industry practices, research, or applied projects in Computing/IT is an advantage.Commitment to ongoing professional development and alignment with MCKL’s mission and values in education and character formation.
