The Global Academy at Siam University in Bangkok is hiring full-time lecturers to support our suite of Business and Computer Science Two Degree Programs. Upon successful completion in Bangkok, students receive Two Degrees, one from Siam University and one from La Trobe University. The Global Academy combines three distinct elements: A university environment International academic standards and partner degree expectations The Nurture Global Academy model, focused on student success, progression, and employability. In just 18 months, the Global Academy has scaled rapidly, with our first Two Degree Program graduates expected in 2028. Specialisms We are recruiting to support our suite of Business and Computer Science Two Degree Programs, with indicative areas included below. Example teaching areas: Business, Management and Entrepreneurship: Digital and social media marketing, consumer behaviour, marketing analytics, brand management, organisational behaviour, operations and supply chain management, strategy, innovation and venture creation. Hospitality: Hospitality and tourism operations, service management, events, revenue management Accounting & Finance: Financial accounting, taxation, corporate finance, investments, financial markets, financial technology Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence: Programming, object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms, discrete mathematics and linear algebra, cloud computing and architecture, web and mobile development, software testing and development, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, responsible AI. Analytics, Statistics & Quantitative Methods: Business statistics, quantitative methods, probability and inference, databases, data visualisation and business analytics.The Role We will appoint at levels aligned with Siam University’s faculty grades, so early-career academics, experienced lecturers and senior scholars or practitioners can all apply. We will confirm the level and salary with you at offer stage, based on your qualifications and experience. All candidates must: Have a doctorate in a cognate discipline, and maintain current scholarly practice or industry engagement; or Be an experienced lecturer currently studying for a PhD (or equivalent doctorate); or Be a newly qualified PhD (or equivalent doctorate); or Have a Masters level qualification in relevant subject with continuing scholarly practice or industry engagement. Full-time lecturers teach, assess and support students, and help run the courses they teach. All lecturers will be expected to: Teach courses in your specialism in English. Prepare teaching and assessment materials, a course schedule and an assessment plan before each term, and publish materials on our learning management system on time. Set, and mark appropriate assessments, give students timely feedback on progress, and take part in end-of-term review and resit processes. Advise and support students through their studies, and help resolve issues in their learning. Build relationships with industry partners to bring guest speakers, projects and opportunities to students. Meet university and partner quality assurance and accreditation requirements, and report course performance data accurately. Contribute to curriculum development, attend required meetings and committees, and keep up scholarly or professional engagement as our partner universities require. Who we are looking for Essential at all levels Qualifications and experience relevant for the role, as briefly set out above. Deep knowledge of your specialism, with the ability to teach it clearly in English to international students. Fluency in English, with at least IELTS 7.5 in all skills (this will be assessed). Thai language is not required. Skill in designing and assessing courses against defined learning outcomes. Confidence with learning management systems and digital teaching tools. Willingness to be based in Bangkok and to work with colleagues and partners from many countries. Alignment with GA values to focus on supporting student success. Desirable Experience of teaching in English-medium, international or transnational programs, especially in Asia. Industry experience and networks in your specialism. Applied research, publications or consultancy. Familiarity with Thai higher education standards, and/or with UK and Australian quality frameworks.
