The organization is committed to building solidarity and supportive relationships among participants while fostering pride and well-being in their lives.Role Description The Nexup Coordinator is a full-time hybrid role based in Vancouver, BC, with a combination of on-site work and some work from home. This role coordinates Nexup programming and activities, including organizing group sessions, workshops, and events that align with DUDES Club’s health and wellness objectives. The coordinator will manage schedules, communicate with members and partners, and ensure that programming is accessible, culturally safe, and responsive to participant needs. Day-to-day tasks include outreach and engagement with community members, collaborating with staff and volunteers, maintaining records and reports, and supporting evaluation of programs. The Nexup Coordinator will also assist with communications and basic administrative duties to help sustain and grow the initiative.Qualifications Experience in community outreach, engagement, and group facilitation, especially with diverse or marginalized communities.Skills in program coordination and event planning, including scheduling, logistics, and collaboration with partners and service providers.Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to build trust and work respectfully with people from varied backgrounds.Basic administrative and organizational skills, including record-keeping, reporting, and use of common office software and digital tools.Understanding of trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and culturally safe practices in community and health-related settings.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment (on-site in Vancouver, BC and from home).Relevant education or training in social work, community development, public health, counseling, or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience.Lived experience or demonstrated commitment to men’s wellness, mental health, addiction support, or peer-led initiatives is an asset.
