The clinic’s mission is to make mental healthcare more approachable, accessible, and empowering for Dubai’s diverse community.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Psychiatrist role based in Dubai at Meer Psychiatry Clinic. The Psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans for a diverse patient population. Daily responsibilities include providing medication management, offering evidence-based psychotherapy where applicable, and collaborating closely with psychologists, counselors, and other mental health professionals. The role involves maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with regulatory and clinic standards, as well as ensuring strict adherence to DHA regulations and clinic protocols. The Psychiatrist will also contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions, support family and caregiver education, and participate in clinic initiatives to enhance quality of care and promote mental health awareness.Qualifications Completed medical degree (MD or equivalent) and formal residency training in Psychiatry from a recognized institution.Valid license or eligibility for licensure as a Psychiatrist with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) or relevant UAE regulatory body.Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment planning across a range of conditions (e.g., mood, anxiety, trauma-related, psychotic, and neurodevelopmental disorders).Experience in medication management, including psychopharmacology, monitoring of side effects, and collaborative decision-making with patients.Training or demonstrated competence in psychotherapy modalities (such as CBT, supportive therapy, or other structured approaches) is preferred.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills, with the ability to build therapeutic alliances with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.Strong commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, and adherence to DHA and clinic policies and procedures.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and to contribute to case conferences, care coordination, and integrated treatment planning.Comfort with using electronic medical records and basic digital tools for documentation, scheduling, and communication.Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic or additional languages commonly spoken in the region is an advantage.
