Team members join a small, close-knit business that values authenticity, creativity, and customer connection.Role Description The Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role includes greeting customers, offering product recommendations, and delivering attentive, friendly service to families and caregivers. Daily responsibilities involve assisting with purchases at the register, handling returns and exchanges, and maintaining an organized, visually appealing sales floor. The Sales Associate will restock merchandise, support inventory tasks, and help prepare displays to highlight new products and seasonal collections. The role also involves answering customer inquiries in store and by phone, and collaborating with the team to ensure a welcoming environment.QualificationsDemonstrated customer service and retail sales skills, with the ability to build rapport and support a positive shopping experience.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact comfortably with adults, children, and diverse families.Basic cash handling, point-of-sale system experience, and attention to detail in processing transactions and managing inventory.Ability to maintain store cleanliness, support merchandising tasks, and follow visual guidelines for product displays.Comfort with social media and digital tools to help share store updates or engage with the local community when needed.Reliability in working full-time shifts, including weekends or holidays, and the ability to stand, walk, and lift light items during the day.Previous experience in retail, children’s products, or boutique environments is preferred but not required.
