Four days on-site and one day remote.

Location: Orlando, FL (in-person four days per week)Salary: $75K-$80K plus benefitsStart date: ASAPKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver quality classroom and lab instruction for assigned courses within the approved surgical technology curriculumDevelop lectures, labs, and learning experiences that help all students meet course objectivesGrade papers and tests promptly, and follow standardized (blueprint) course materials where applicablePrepare and submit course syllabi per institutional deadlines and follow approved course outlines and textbooksComplete required academic documentation for each student, such as clinical evaluations and competency records, by established deadlinesPost accurate student participation information and submit official grades each termSupport curriculum development, course objectives, and evaluation measures, and help maintain compliance with accreditation, federal, and state standardsAdvise students, be accessible before and after class, and support retention effortsTake part in committees, faculty meetings, advisory boards, graduation ceremonies, and the annual planning and performance review processComplete scholarly and service activities, including a community service project each yearKeep current with best practices in the field and with classroom technology, including mandatory learning-platform trainingAttend at least 2 professional development activities and 2 in-services per yearHelp orient and mentor new faculty as requestedPerform other duties as assigned by leadershipRequirementsBachelor's degree (any field)Graduate of a surgical technology program accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accrediting agencyActive NBSTSA (CST) certification.

Certifications from other bodies will not be accepted.Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in the last 5 years as an operating room scrub, a surgical technology instructor, or a combination of bothStrong communication and technology skillsPrior teaching experience preferredInterested in hearing more?
