The team values collaboration, empathy, and professionalism, creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and encouraged in their healing journey.Role Description The Full-Time Therapist/Counselor in Private Practice will provide individual, family, and, when appropriate, group therapy to adults, children, adolescents, and caregivers. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating care with schools, medical providers, and other community supports. The role involves using developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive interventions to support clients’ emotional and behavioral health. This is a full-time hybrid role based in The Woodlands, TX, with both in-office sessions and some work-from-home flexibility for telehealth services and administrative tasks. The therapist/counselor will also participate in case consultation, ongoing professional development, and practice-building activities that support high-quality care.QualificationsLicensed or license-eligible mental health professional (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, PhD) in the state of Texas, with strong skills in child, adolescent, and family therapy.Experience conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and using evidence-based interventions appropriate for children and families.Ability to maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation and manage a full-time caseload in a private practice setting.Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills for working with caregivers, multidisciplinary providers, and community resources.Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and gender-neutral, non-discriminatory practice with diverse populations.Comfort with hybrid work, including in-person sessions in The Woodlands, TX and limited telehealth services from home, using secure technology platforms provided by the practice.Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.Experience or interest in play therapy, parent coaching, or specialized child and family modalities is beneficial.Willingness to engage in ongoing training, supervision or consultation, and ethical practice aligned with professional standards.
