The university follows a distinctive education model focused on holistic development and preparing learners for 21st-century challenges.Role Description The Fulltime Faculty role is an on-site position based at GM University in Davangere. The faculty member will design and deliver courses, prepare lesson plans, teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, and assess student performance through assignments, examinations, and projects. Responsibilities include mentoring and advising students, maintaining academic records, and contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement of teaching practices. The role also involves engaging in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and participation in conferences or seminars, as well as serving on departmental or university committees. Faculty are expected to uphold academic integrity, support inclusive learning environments, and actively contribute to the university’s mission and community.Qualifications Relevant postgraduate or doctoral degree in the respective discipline from a recognized institution, with a strong academic record.Demonstrated teaching competence, including course planning, classroom instruction, and fair, transparent student evaluation.Experience or potential in research, publications, and academic or industry collaboration aligned with the university’s focus areas.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse learners and work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.Ability to use digital tools and learning management systems to support teaching, assessment, and student engagement.Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered pedagogy and to mentoring students in academic, professional, and ethical development.Willingness to participate in academic administration, committee work, outreach activities, and continuous professional development.Prior higher education teaching experience is preferred; eligibility as per applicable regulatory and accreditation norms is desirable.
