Our platforms support booking, ticketing, pricing, customer management, port operations, check-in and payments, connecting the processes that keep transport services running.We are looking for a Functional Product Analyst to join our Customer Service Unit, working with international customers on software implementation projects and continuous improvement.Your RoleYou will combine deep product knowledge with business analysis and hands-on configuration to help customers make effective use of E-Dea’s software.Working directly with business users and operational teams, you will understand the need behind each request and identify the most appropriate solution: standard functionality, configuration, a product enhancement or a practical adjustment to the customer’s process.You will follow functional activities from discovery and solution definition through configuration, testing, training and customer acceptance, collaborating closely with Product Management, Software Development, QA and Customer Delivery teams.What you will doUnderstand customer operations: lead workshops to analyse business processes, gather requirements and clarify objectives, constraints and priorities.Define functional solutions: assess requirements against product capabilities, identify gaps and recommend sustainable solutions that minimize unnecessary customization.Document requirements clearly: produce functional specifications, process flows, business rules, user stories and acceptance criteria.Configure the product: translate approved requirements into application settings, business rules and workflows, documenting and validating configuration decisions.Connect customers and engineering teams: explain business needs to developers, clarify requirements during delivery and work with QA to verify the resulting functionality.Support implementation and go-live: assist with functional testing, customer UAT, operational readiness and post-go-live stabilization.Demonstrate and teach: deliver product demonstrations, support pre-sales discussions and provide train-the-trainer sessions and knowledge transfer to customer key users.Drive continuous improvement: contribute functional expertise to the investigation of customer issues, distinguish configuration and process issues from software defects, and recommend workarounds or longer-term improvements.What you will bringExperience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst or Functional Consultant working with complex enterprise software, either within a software company or through consulting and implementation projects.The ability to develop an in-depth understanding of a configurable software product and apply it to different customer environments.Experience gathering and documenting requirements and translating them into practical functional solutions.Hands-on experience with application configuration or functional implementation.Confidence in leading customer workshops, presenting solutions and explaining options and trade-offs to business and technical audiences.A sound understanding of the software development lifecycle, including collaboration with developers and QA, acceptance testing and defect analysis.Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership of functional deliverables.Fluent written and spoken English and availability for international travel for workshops, implementation activities, demonstrations, training and go-live support.You should be comfortable constructively challenging an initial request, exploring the underlying business need and helping customers make informed decisions.Experience that would be an advantageReservation, ticketing, passenger transport, ferry operations, travel.Mission-critical transactional platforms and international customer projects.Functional understanding of APIs, integrations and data flows.Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Agile delivery practices.Experience spanning both software implementation and ongoing application support.Why join E-DeaWork on software that directly supports the daily operations of international transport operators.Build specialist expertise in a complex software product and the business processes it enables.Combine analysis, configuration and customer interaction in a role with direct involvement throughout delivery.Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, contributing customer insight to the evolution of our solutions.International travel required according to project and customer needs.Interested?
