The environment is collaborative, community-focused, and driven by long-term relationships and positive impact.Role Description The Functions and Events Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Perth, WA, responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a wide range of club functions, match-day events, corporate hospitality, and community activities. This role manages the end-to-end event lifecycle, including concept development, budgeting, scheduling, vendor and supplier coordination, and on-the-day execution to ensure high-quality experiences for members, partners, and guests. The Functions and Events Manager oversees venue setup, catering arrangements, audio-visual requirements, and risk and safety considerations, while maintaining alignment with the club’s brand and community values. Day-to-day responsibilities include liaising with sponsors and stakeholders, managing bookings and enquiries, coordinating staff and volunteers, monitoring event performance, and preparing post-event reports. The position also works closely with marketing and membership teams to support promotional activities, drive attendance, and strengthen engagement with supporters.Qualifications Strong event planning and coordination skills, including experience managing functions, hospitality, and community events from concept through delivery.Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management, with the ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage contracts effectively.Experience in stakeholder and client relationship management, particularly with sponsors, members, and community partners.Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in presenting information and collaborating across internal teams.Competence with event management software and Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with CRM or booking systems is advantageous.Knowledge of hospitality operations, catering coordination, and basic risk, safety, and compliance requirements for public events.Background in sports, entertainment, or community-focused organizations is beneficial, particularly with match-day or club events.Relevant qualification in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Ability to work
