The role provides dispute resolution and operational support related to compliance, sanctions, and reversals, while contributing to client-centric, innovative, and streamlined service deliveryAt CIBC India we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (including on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities):Conduct complex transactional investigations and analyze high-risk or ambiguous cases related to foreign exchange and money transfer operationsProvide dispute resolution support to the GMT Operations team, including investigations involving compliance, sanctions, and payment reversalsCommunicate clearly with internal and external partners to clarify issues, obtain required information, and confirm resolutionPrioritize and organize workload effectively to ensure deadlines are met and pending items are reviewed regularlyCollaborate with team members to coordinate operational activities and maintain service qualityUse Microsoft Office tools, including spreadsheets and formulas, to support investigation, analysis, and reporting activitiesCROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:Regular interaction with internal CIBC employees, teams, and departments to obtain, provide, and clarify informationCOMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:As an employee of CIBC, the incumbent must comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controlsAUTHORITIES/DECISION RIGHTS:As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectivenessJOB DIMENSIONS:Processes high volumes of domestic and international payments daily, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion within established service level agreements and key performance indicatorsExperience: 3+ years of experienceWho You Are (skills/qualifications):Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered3+ years of experience in banking operations, foreign exchange, payments, or transactional investigationsExperience handling dispute resolution, compliance-related investigations, or operational support in a financial services environmentProficiency in English, both written and verbalMust Have Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess difficult or unusual issues and determine appropriate solutionsKnowledge of transactional investigations, dispute handling, compliance, sanctions, and reversal processes in a banking environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present facts, instructions, recommendations, and solutions clearlyEffective teamwork and coordination skills, with the ability to manage priorities and support team deliverySolid technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets and formulasAdaptability to evolving tools, technologies, and process changesStrong attention to detail and ability to interpret and communicate complex information accuratelyPrivacy:By proceeding with the creation of a profile and submitting an application in response to this job posting, you acknowledge and agree that your personal data will be collected, used, retained and disclosed by CIBC India and its affiliates, as described in the Candidate Privacy Statement.
