Game Design Intern – Research & AnalysisExperience: Fresher

Location: Gulberg 3, LahoreWork Mode: On-site | InternshipGame District is looking for a curious, analytical, and game-obsessed intern to join our Game Design team.You will spend three months doing the work that sits underneath every good design decision we make: playing games deeply, taking them apart, and telling us what makes them work.

Our designers rely on this research to shape features that reach hundreds of millions of players - and for the right person, this is the fastest way to learn how commercial game design actually happens.Key Responsibilities1. Game & Genre ResearchTrack trends, new releases, and soft launches across mobile F2P genres, with a focus on simulation, idle, and casual titles.Build and maintain a living library of reference games - documenting features, LiveOps cadence, monetization models, and progression structures.2. Playtesting, Analysis & BreakdownsPlay assigned reference titles consistently and deeply, documenting first-time user experience, onboarding funnels, progression pacing, and monetization touchpoints.Produce structured written breakdowns and teardowns of competitor games, complete with screenshots, data, and clear takeaways.Analyze player reviews and community feedback to surface recurring themes and pain points.3. Core Loops & Meta LoopsMap and document the core and meta loops of reference games using diagrams and written analysis.Deconstruct progression systems, economy sources and sinks, reward schedules, and pricing.Build and maintain spreadsheets tracking economy values, level curves, and IAP pricing across reference titles.Key RequirementsCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor’s programme, or a graduate within the last year. Any discipline.A strong, demonstrable passion for playing and studying video games.An analytical mindset and comfort working with numbers and spreadsheets.A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn, grow, and respond to constructive feedback.Bonus RequirementsYou are an active gamer with deep knowledge of various game genres, especially mobile F2P.You can already deconstruct the core loops, mechanics, and monetization of popular games.Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel (formulas, charts, basic modeling).
