This position is responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of marine gas engines and related systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Day-to-day tasks include conducting inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, replacing parts, and testing engine performance according to manufacturer and client specifications. The engineer will support commissioning activities, prepare service reports, coordinate with project managers and clients, and follow all health, safety, and environmental standards. The role may also involve training local personnel on proper operation and maintenance procedures and collaborating with suppliers and technical experts to resolve complex issues.Qualifications Strong technical expertise in gas engine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, preferably within marine or power generation applications.Knowledge of engine control systems, mechanical assemblies, and basic electrical diagnostics, including use of relevant tools and test equipment.Experience with commissioning, performance testing, and documentation of service activities in industrial or marine environments.Understanding of marine industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices for working with gas-fueled equipment.Ability to interpret technical drawings, service manuals, and OEM specifications, and apply them in practical field situations.Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, project teams, and suppliers, and for preparing clear service and incident reports.Proven ability to work independently on remote or on-site assignments, adapt to local conditions, and manage time and priorities under project deadlines.Relevant technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, marine engineering, or a closely related discipline; professional certifications in engine maintenance or marine systems are an advantage.Prior experience working in international or multicultural teams; experience in the Middle East or marine projects in Saudi Arabia is beneficial.Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance, with a proactive approach to risk assessment and safe work practices.
