Location: Chennai (Preferred) / BangaloreJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior GCP Java Developer to join our technology team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in designing and developing cloud-native applications using Java and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires hands-on experience in microservices architecture, modern software engineering practices, cloud deployment, and enterprise-scale application development.The candidate will work closely with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support critical business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement scalable cloud-native applications using Java technologies and Google Cloud Platform.Develop and maintain microservices-based architectures using Spring Boot and related frameworks.Build and integrate RESTful APIs and enterprise application services.Utilize GCP services to develop robust, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.Collaborate with solution architects and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.Implement automated build, deployment, and monitoring processes using DevOps best practices.Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture reviews.Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective root-cause analysis.Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and coding standards.Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical SkillsStrong experience in Java 8/11/17Hands-on expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices ArchitectureExtensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Experience with:Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)Cloud RunPub/SubBigQueryCloud StorageCloud FunctionsDataflowStrong understanding of RESTful API developmentExperience with Docker and KubernetesKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologiesProficiency in Git, Maven, Jenkins, and related development toolsStrong SQL and database development experienceProfessional Experience8 to 10 years of software development experienceExperience developing and deploying enterprise-grade cloud applicationsExposure to large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native architecturesExperience working within Agile development environmentsPreferred SkillsExposure to Kafka or other messaging platformsExperience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)Cloud security and governance knowledgeObservability and monitoring tools experienceExperience within Banking, Financial Services, or Payments domain environmentsSoft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively with global and cross-functional teamsStrong stakeholder management and collaboration skillsSelf-driven with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvementEducational QualificationBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
