Hays have partnered with a Holding Group, that operates within the hospitality sector and is seeking a General Accountant to join their team in Dubai.The General Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. The role requires strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.Responsibilities: Maintain the general ledger and ensure all accounting records are accurate and up to date by ensuring transactions are properly recorded, classified, and reconciled.Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.Monitor receivable aging, coordinate collection efforts, resolve billing issues, reconcile customer accounts.Manage the accounts payable function across multiple group entities by reviewing supporting documentation, validating approvals, monitoring payment schedules, resolving vendor issues.Prepare and process bank transfers, payments, and reconciliations.Prepare monthly, quarterly, Semi Annual & Annual financial reports, financial modelling, dashboards, analyses, and presentations for the CFO for the Group companies while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery including Consolidated FS’s, MIS, Cash flow for the Holding & Subsidiary companies.Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring for all the Group companies. Draft the Consolidated Annual Budget (PL & CF) for CFO's review.Provides support to CFO in Monitoring cash flow projections at the group and entity levels.Ensure compliance with bank covenants and other regulatory requirements.Supporting CFO in monitoring loan facilities and financing arrangements across the group.Perform weekly reconciliation of bank balances of the group companies and entity levels.Provide support to the CFO for various tax related strategiesEnsure data accuracy and completeness and in line with the updated International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS)Support ad-hoc requests by management for analysis as part of Corporate FP&A routines.Ensure compliance with company financial policies and internal controls.Maintain organized accounting records and filing systems.Coordinate audit requirements across multiple entitiesRequirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalent) is an advantage.Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, within the holding group, investment or hospitality sectors with experience working across multiple entities.Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Zoho, QuickBooks, or similar).Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.Ability to work independently in a complex and demanding environment that requires daily innovation and problem-solving.The organisation is offering a competitive salary.If you meet the criteria above, please apply directly.
